VLOGS ABOUT BLOGS
Welcome to a new series called “Vlogs About Blogs.” I started writing blogs about my personal experiences with mental health, full time artist lifestyle, and now going back to work. I want to make some changes with my content and help benefit you as an artist. Whether it’s in your writing, performance, creating visuals, or expanding into new crafts, I’d love to offer my knowledge and expertise to you. Let me know what you want to learn more about!
I’m working on it
I’ve been driving myself crazy of everything I wanted to get done before starting work. I already feel like I have no time and I need to just breathe. Being an artist isn’t something that’s determined by a day job. I was still an artist before and I’ll make sure to find the time once I get adjusted.
Changes are coming
I’m still riding this full time artist wave and it’s getting busier. This month is a big one for me. I released a poetry collection, a book trailer, and third poetry visual. On top of these projects I’ve been booked for shows the whole month! It’s freeing knowing I’m not on a schedule or stressed over someone else’s issues. I have time for me and my art projects and I think the work I’ve put out speaks for itself…I was meant to be an artist!
Procrastination? Just do it!
There’s a few reasons why one would procrastinate: fear of failure, low self-esteem, perfectionism, distractions, poor management skills ,or feeling a sense of threat.
body v.s mind
The mind is a powerful muscle. What we consume matters. How we think matters. If every day we wake up thinking today isn’t going to be good, or “I don’t want to do anything,” our bodies will naturally respond by looking for things to confirm the messages you are telling yourself.
